Growing up in Maine, where Vacationland is emblazoned across the license plate, tourism was something I grew up with. My father is a guide, and I worked as a bellhop in high school at a local resort. I was surrounded by day-sailboats, seasonal restaurants, and the work ethic that made the summer possible for thousands of visitors.
Taking a gap year between high school and college in 2008, I took my first guiding job in Washington, DC. Once graduating from the University of Rhode Island four years later, I returned to DC to work as an event planner and fundraiser at Georgetown University. Sitting at my desk, I craved to be outside and work directly with people. I took a part time job as a bike tour guide to fill that need.
In 2016 I turned my part time job into full time employment. I accepted the position of Tour Manager and eventually Groups and Sales Manager at D.C.’s premier bicycle tour company. It was there that I found my passion for growing small business through data, resourceful marketing, and strong relationships.
Between seasons, I took time to explore other corners of our world. Having visited over 50 countries, I have experienced the joys of travel and tourism from the customer perspective and bring this greater understanding of tourism to my work.
I have the joy of bringing my marketing expertise and experience to companies all over the world.
